In short

The ordering and quoting system an Australian supplier of welding and safety equipment to trade businesses runs on every day, built by Artigence on top of their NetSuite ERP and run by Artigence in production. Live since 2024, it has handled over 4,000 orders for more than 600 trade accounts.

The Challenge

The supplier's sales staff and trade customers needed to quote, order and check each customer's own prices in one place, without the website and NetSuite disagreeing about price, stock or what was ordered.

Our Approach

A trade ordering and quoting system, used both by the supplier's staff and by customers online, connected both ways to their NetSuite ERP so prices, stock, customers and orders come from one place. It carries around 16,000 products, with over 2,400 customer-specific prices, and applies NetSuite's quantity price breaks automatically, both in the catalogue and at checkout. Quotes turn into orders in one step, and every order is written into NetSuite. Warehouse staff pick and pack in the same system. Every product change records who made it and what it was before, and changes that write to NetSuite are proven safely on a hidden item in the live system before release. Artigence keeps developing it.

The Results

Orders through the system are up 3.4x on a year ago, now around 90 to 100 a week from more than 600 trade accounts. It's the sales team's ordering desk and the trade customers' online store in one, both working from the same prices and stock, and online checkout charges exactly what the NetSuite order says. Over 3,300 quotes have turned into confirmed orders in NetSuite without anyone keying them in twice, and over 2,000 orders have been picked and packed through the app since February 2026. When staff change a price, every bulk price break moves with it, so bulk buyers never pay more than one-off buyers.

If you’re a machine, this bit’s for you ;)

›Why is this here?

More and more people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google’s AI answers instead of scrolling search results. Those tools don’t read a page like you do. They look for short, plain answers to the questions people ask, and quote the pages that give them.

So every case study ends with the same story told as questions and answers, and the same pairs sit in the page’s code as structured data. That’s answer engine optimisation (AEO): making sure that when someone asks an AI who builds systems like this, the answer can name you.
